Dairies PDO and Environment: methods, tools and approaches
On 8 June, from 10 am to 12.45 pm (CET) will take place the webinar “Dairies PDO and Environment: methods, tools and approaches”, organized by the “Conseil national des appellations d’origine laitières”(CNAOL), in cooperation with oriGIn and the LIFE TTGG project.
The online meeting (in French) conceived for the representatives of the French GIs dairy sector , will provide an overview of the strategies developed by French stakeholders on environmental sustainability and actions implemented so far at the national level.
In this context, the Environmental decision support system (EDSS), developed as a result of the LIFE TTGG project, will be presented.
The EDSS is a software created to support PDO cheese producers in taking their environmental decisions. It facilitates the calculation of the environmental footprint of packaged products by applying the PEF methodology. The software will help producers to optimize their production processes from both, an environmental and an economic point of view.
